Acoustic Design Engineer, R&D Manager
Despite his musical upbringing, Matt had never considered acoustics as a career option when he began his physics degree at the University of Winnipeg. A chance elective entitled ‘Physics of Music’ changed all that. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota. Matt joined Wenger’s design engineering team in 2011, and helped develop the SoundLok Isolated Floor, Tunable Acoustic Panel, VAE Rehearsal System and Transcend Active Acoustic System. He is a member of the Acoustical Society of America, Canadian Acoustical Association and Audio Engineering Society. Contact Matt at Matt.Hildebrand@wengercorp.com.
