Making capacity calculations by hand can be tedious and time consuming, and accuracy is critical. To simplify this process, J.R. Clancy is proud to announce the release of its updated iRigging app, available for download April 25th, 2025. The new version of this application introduces many innovative features to help make quick and accurate calculations for your rigging needs. It’s user-friendly and had a wide-array of applications.
Users can choose between metric or imperial measurements and easily toggle between the two depending on your needs.
There is variety of rigging data available for your use. For example, under Wire Rope Data, the user can choose the diameter and receive quick information about minimum sheave diameter, quantity of wire rope clips, proper torque for cable clip bolts, and more. The app also features several different calculators to measure weights, angles, and measurements (i.e. calculators to measure the weight of an individual counterweight or a stack, fleet angles, stage curtains, 3 phase motor current draw, etc).
Beyond these features, iRigging also allows for service requests to be made simply and quickly within the app.
The updated iRigging app will be available for both iPhone and Android devices for free on the app store. This ensures that everyone, from students to professionals, has access to critical rigging information to help promote safe and efficient rigging in all venues.
